HIGH SCHOOL: Swanson joins the Huskies after graduating from Fosston High School in the spring of 2016. While there she enjoyed impressive careers in volleyball and basketball. She was a five-time letter winner in basketball, was voted all conference in 2014 and 2015, and was named to the All-State Honorable Mention list in 2015. In volleyball Swanson garnered four letters and three All-Conference selections. She was named the Conference MVP in 2015 and got an All-State Honorable Mention honor that same year. She was also named the AVCA Player of the Week in 2015. She finished her Greyhounds career with 1,193 kills, 834 digs, 122 blocks, and 135 aces.
Personal: Abby is the daughter of Todd and Kari Swanson and lists her Dad and younger sister Haley as the greatest influences on her career. She intends to study Medical Laboratory Sciences while at St. Cloud State.
