2012: Played in 11 matches for the Huskies…recorded 11 kills in 36 total attempts…tallied 10 digs on the year…totaled a season high four kills and seven digs against Minnesota State (9/7/12)…completed 14 of 15 serves on the season.
2011 Season: Played in 13 matches and started 12 before she was sidelined due to an injury...averaged 2.63 kills per set...notched 13 blocks...had a season high 17 kills against Minnesota, Crookston on Sept. 24...of her 13 matches, she hit double figures in kills seven times.
2010 Season: Served a perfect 76-of-76 from behind the service line in 2010 to lead the Huskies with a 1.000 serving percentage…put away 61 kills on the outside during her rookie season…in her collegiate debut, Peterson totaled 10 kills and six digs against Michigan Tech on Sept. 3…her 10 kills proved to be her seasonhigh… dug up a career-best 10 digs against Northern State in the final match of the season on Nov. 13…tallied five block assists and 63 total digs…dished out six assists and garnered two serving aces in 2010.
HIGH SCHOOL: Peterson earned four varsity letters in volleyball for the Chaska High School Hawks under the helm of head coach Sue Murphy...the 5’9” outside hitter garnered All-Lake Conference accolades twice in her career and helped lead her prep squad to a Minnesota State Championship and a Lake Conference Championship during her tenure at CHS.
PERSONAL: Shelby is the daughter of Dave and Rose Peterson...she also landed on the Dean’s List and was a member of Junior Leadership at CHS.
