Husky Football travels to #2 Northwest Missouri State for NCAA quarterfinal

The #12-ranked St. Cloud State football team hits the road for the third straight week for an NCAA Division II quarterfinal game at #2 Northwest Missouri State University. The Huskies and Bearcats will kick-off at 12 noon on Saturday, Dec. 7 at Bearcat Stadium in Maryville, Missouri.
The Huskies are 12-1 this season and the #6 seed in Super Region 3. Northwest Missouri State is 12-0 and the #1 seed in the Region 3. The Huskies are one of two #6 seeds left among the eight remaining teams in the playoffs.Â
This is the first time in school history that the Huskies have won two NCAA games in a season. St. Cloud State is making its fifth NCAA appearance while the Bearcats are in their 18th NCAA tournament.
The Huskies upset #4 ranked Henderson State, 40-35 and #1 ranked Minnesota State University, Mankato to get to this game. Northwest Missouri State beat #5 Minnesota Duluth 45-21 last week to advance to the quarterfinal.
Live radio coverage of the Huskies game will be provided by KNSI 1450 AM/103.3 FM with JW Cox and Matt Wood making the call. KVSC 88.1 FM will also have the game with St. Cloud State students Scott Gross and Declan Goff.
