SCSU Volleyball falls to Upper Iowa, 1-3

The St. Cloud State volleyball team took on Upper Iowa this evening falling short. The Huskies had a third-set comeback, but it wasn't enough to defeat the Peacocks. St. Cloud fell 1-3 with scores of 28-30, 19-25, 25-22 and 13-25.Â
The Huskies fall to 7-8 overall and 1-6 in the NSIC.Â
The outside hitters lead the team in kills with Kaitlin Doughty (Tomahawk, Wis.) posting 13 and Shannon Klink (Hartford, Wis.) posting 12. Sophie Jaskulske (Maplewood, Minn.) also tallied 12 kills on the evening.
Sophomore middle hitter Macy Weller (Sauk Centre, Minn.) had 7 kills, averaging an attack percentage of .313.
Erin Ohlemann (Golden Valley, Minn.) recorded a double-double. Ohlemann finished with 45 assists and 12 digs this evening.
Brianne Stamer (Hutchinson, Minn.) collected 22 digs on the night. Taryn Ungerer () finished with 15 while Shannon Klink (Hartford, Wis.) added 13.
Jennifer Mundt had an astounding season-high 27 kills for the Peacocks, hitting a .442 attack percentage.
St. Cloud State will return to action tomorrow night as they take on Winona State University. The Warriors are 10-3 overall and 5-2 in conference. Â
