SCSU Volleyball Splits at First Day of NSU Tournament

Aberdeen, SD- The St. Cloud State volleyball competed in the NSU Dacotah Bank Volleyball Classic today in Aberdeen. The Huskies defeated Minot State 3-0 with scores of 26-24, 25-23 and 25-17. The Huskies then took on Northern State University and fell in three straight sets with scores of 19-25, 15-25 and 27-29.

The Huskies move to 4-2 overall and will return to action tomorrow morning as they take on Southwest Baptist at 10:00 a.m. and Minnesota-Crookston at 2:30 p.m. Live stats are available at the following link:

Head Coach Michelle Blaeser stated, "The Huskies fought through a tough Minot competition. Macy and Taylor put up some good hitting, both hitting a .417."

Macy Weller (Sauk Centre, Minn.) led the team in kills with 13.

Erin Ohlemann (Golden Valley, Minn.) finished with 35 assists, 4 kills and 12 digs.  Brianne Stamer (Hutchinson, Minn.) had a team-high 24 digs.

Northern State University Recap:
Kaitlin Doughty (Tomahawk, Wis.) finished off with a team high 11 kills. Both Shannon Klink (Hartford, Wis.) and Macy Weller (Sauk Centre, Minn.) ended with 10 kills.
Erin Ohlemann (Golden Valley, Minn.) tallied 37 assists.
