#17 Huskies Football falls at Sioux Falls, 36-0

Sioux Falls, S.D. – The University of Sioux Falls upset #17 St. Cloud State, 36-0, in a Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC) football tilt Saturday night in Sioux Falls.
The Cougars improved to 3-0 overall and in the NSIC while the Huskies dropped to 1-2 overall and in league play.

- Junior runningback Ledell White led the Huskies on offense with 16 carries for 77 yards.
- Sophomore runningback Kenneth Walker added 66 rushing yards on 13 carries as the Huskies gained 158 yards on the ground.
- St. Cloud State quarterbacks Jameson Parsons and Nate Meyer combined for six of 19 pass attempts for 59 yards.
- Sophomore receiver Matt Hentges caught three passes for 25 yards.
- Redshirt first-year defensive back Keyshawn Davis led the Huskies with nine tackles, a season and career high for the defender.
- Nathan Holasek, Jordan Sefon and Jarek Kunz each had eight tackles, all season highs, for the Huskies. Holasek added a quarterback sack and two tackles for loss
- Senior defensive lineman Bo Putrah had four tackles for loss and one quarterback sack.
- The Huskies finished the game with 217 yards of total offense while the Cougars gained 417 yards.
- St. Cloud started the 2012 season with a 1-2 record and finished 7-4 overall.
- The Huskies will host Upper Iowa University next Saturday at 6 p.m. The Peacocks are 3-0 after defeating Bemidji State 47-30.

- Cougars runningback Garcia Nephi rushed for 121 yards and two touchdowns to lead Sioux Falls. He scored on one and four yard runs.
- USF quarterback Luke Papilion completed 15 of 28 pass attempts for 196 yards and one touchdown.
- Josh Angulo caught seven passes for 90 yards and one touchdown
- USF is 18-3 in NSIC play since joining the NCAA Division II ranks in 2011. The Cougars are now 47-3 at Bob Young Field.
- Sioux Falls is 2-0 against the Huskies in their last two meetings. USF defeated St. Cloud State 32-19 in the Huskies 2012 home opener.
