#2 St. Cloud State baseball continues season with games vs CSP and SMSU

The #2 St. Cloud State University baseball team (28-2, 12-2 NSIC) will continue its 2015 season with important Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference games against Concordia-St. Paul and Southwest Minnesota State this week. Weather permitting, the Huskies will travel to Concordia-St. Paul for a 1:30 p.m. doubleheader in St. Paul, Minn. on Wednesday, April 8. The Huskies will then return home to the friendly confines of Joe Faber Field in St. Cloud, Minn. for games against Southwest Minnesota State on Saturday, April 11 and Sunday, April 12.Â
The doubleheader on April 11 is scheduled to start at 1 p.m. and the games on April 12 at Joe Faber will begin at Noon. The following are links to lives stat and live video for the SCSU baseball games this week.

St. Cloud State Baseball Notes and Headlines:
- The Huskies received a number two ranking in last week's NCBWA Division II poll, which is the highest ranking SCSU has received in that poll during the 2015 season.
- Mike Jurgella currently paces the Huskies this season with a .431 batting average that includes a team-high 10 doubles and 71 total bases. He is tied for the team's home run lead along with Zach Hoffmann and Zak Hoffman at five apiece.   Zak Hoffman leads the Huskies this year with 30 RBIs.
- The Huskies are off to their best start in team history at 28-2, 12-2 NSIC. The current SCSU record for most victories in a season is 48 and that total was set with a 48-14 record in 2012. SCSU has charted 30-or-more victories in each of the last six seasons under the direction of skipper Pat Dolan.
- Mike Jurgella ranks third in the team records with 47 career doubles. The all-time SCSU record for career doubles is held by Joey Benke with 63 from 2008-12.
- Eric Loxtercamp ranks third in the team record with 11 triples. The all-time SCSU record for career triples is also held by Joey Benke with 16 from 2008-12.
- Jurgella ranks fourth in the team record with 129 career RBIs. Benke owns the team record for most career RBIs with 197 from 2008-12.
-  Rookie Sheldon Miks has started the year with a 5-0 record that includes a 0.87 ERA and 26 strikeouts. Reese Gregory and Dyan Diers also own 5-0 record for the Huskies this season, while Garrett Harrison and Logan Spitzack are both 4-0 this spring for the Huskies.
- Garrett Harrison leads the club with 44 strikeouts this spring.
- SCSU has outscored its opponents 238-83 in 2015 and it has outhit its opponents 334-203 this year.
- Â The Huskies will continue the 2015 season on April 8 with a pair of road games at Concordia-St. Paul before heading back to Joe Faber Field on April 11-12 for a pair of home NSIC games against Southwest Minnesota State University.
- In the most recent NCAA Division II statistical rankings, the Huskies ranked seventh in the nation with a 2.68 team ERA this spring. SCSU's WHP ranking was ninth among Division II teams at 1.17 and the Huskies' win-loss percentage of 93.3% ranked second in the country (28-2). Individually, rookie pitcher Sheldon MIks ranks 12th in the nation with an ERA of 0.87 and his WHIP ranking is ninth in the country at 0.77.
