St. Cloud, Minn.- The St. Cloud State Volleyball team will close out its regular season this weekend when they travel to Winona State and Upper Iowa for a pair of matches on Nov. 11-12.
The Huskies (8-19, 3-15 NSIC) will first travel to Winona to play the #6 Warriors (24-3, 15-3 NSIC). This marks the second match up between the two teams after the Warriors swept the Huskies 3-0 at Halenbeck Hall earlier this season.
In the first meeting with the Warriors the Huskies struggled offensively, not being able to put together a solid attack strategy. However, they were successful in keeping the Warriors in check by out-blocking Winona 7-4. Krista Kuglin led the Huskies with seven kills on the match.
First serve is set for 7 p.m. and fans can watch the match here or follow along with live stats here.
St. Cloud State will then travel to Upper Iowa to face the Peacocks (12-15, 6-12 NSIC) to close out the season on Nov. 12. This is also the second meeting between the two teams this season, with Upper Iowa taking the first meeting 3-0 earlier this season.
Though the Peacocks were able to sweep the Huskies, the statistics were much closer than the score indicated with both teams serving three aces. Senior Shannon Klink lead the Huskies offense on the match with seven kills and an ace. Nicole Miller accounted for the other two aces for the Huskies.
The match is set to begin at 3 p.m. on Nov. 12 and fans can catch all the action here or follow along with live stats here.
