Golden, Colo. – The St. Cloud State University volleyball team (1-3 overall) fell to University of Nebraska-Kearney (4-0 overall) 25-7, 25-14, 25-23 on Saturday, Sept. 3, in Golden, Colo. at the Oredigger Volleyball Classic.
Macy Weller led St. Cloud's offense with nine kills, while Becca Gruber picked up 6 kills and Shannon Klink had 4 kills. Marissa Kline paced the team with 20 assists. Clara Krenz led the Huskies with 11 digs and also had two service aces.
Annie Wolfe led Nebraska-Kearney's offense with 17 kills. Lindsey Smith had 32 assists and also registered 11 digs and 3 service aces. Mackenzie Puckett picked up 8 blocks on the match.
The Huskies will return to action next weekend playing in the UW-Parkside Tournament in Kenosha, Wisc. The Huskies' first match is against Northern Michigan on Friday, Sept. 9 at 12 P.M.
