ST. CLOUD, MINN. – With the leaves changing and temperatures dropping, it's safe to say fall has officially returned to the state of Minnesota, and so has the St. Cloud State University football team. After back-to-back weekends on the road, the Huskies return to the comforts of Husky Stadium to host Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC) foe Wayne State College a 1 p.m. on Saturday, October 6.
St. Cloud State returns home after going 1-1 in its past two road games. The Huskies opened the stand with a thrilling 19-14 victory over Northern State in Aberdeen, South Dakota before suffering their worst loss of the season (45-10) at the hands of the No. 1 team in the nation Minnesota State. However, St. Cloud State's opponent is trying to snap a three-game losing streak of its own. Wayne State has dropped its last three contests to Augustana (27-21), Concordia-St. Paul (29-7) and Bemidji State (27-10), while the Huskies have dropped two of their last three, albeit to nationally ranked opponents.
Fans who can't make the trek to Husky Stadium can follow the game in multiple ways. They can tune in to live stats, video and WJON's live radio broadcast on 1390 Granite City. Updates will also be made to St. Cloud State football's Twitter account (@SCSUHuskiesFB) when time allows.
