ST. CLOUD, MINN. – After six matches in two states, a bus ride, for plane rides, and a handful of other exciting events, the St. Cloud State volleyball team is finally coming home.
The Huskies will host the University of Minnesota-Crookston in their first home match of the 2018 season, which is set to take place on September 6 and 6 p.m. in Halenbeck Hall. It will also serve as St. Cloud State's first Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC) match of the year, as the Huskies have only played nonconference games this season.
St. Cloud State enters its home opener riding high after an impressive outing at the Northern Michigan Wildcat Open. The Huskies posted a 3-1 record at the tournament, with victories over Michigan Tech, Lake Superior State and Northwood, to improve their record to 4-2 this season. The team's only loss came against the host team Northern Michigan, in which it lost two of the three sets by three points or fewer.
Fans will be able to follow the match via live stats and video Thursday evening. Score updates can also be found on St. Cloud State volleyball's official Twitter account (@SCSUHuskies_vb).
