#4 St. Cloud State Sweeps Sioux Falls, Takes Series Finale 12-1 on Sunday

The Huskies have posted three consecutive NSIC series wins.
Sheldon Miks (5-1) is now tied for the sixth most career wins after posting his 23rd victory on the bump against Sioux Falls. The senior southpaw tossed five scoreless innings, struck out seven and only allowed three hits.
Mitch Mallek was 4-4 (2 RBI, HR, 2B) at the plate to finish with a triple shy of hitting for the cycle. Caeden Harris was 3-4 with 2 RBI's while also scoring two runs for SCSU. Ethan Ibarra, Mathew Meyer and Najee Gaskins each posted two hits while Meyer picked up his second homer of the season.
The Huskies did not trail once in their series with the Cougars, and they did not look back in the series finale. Mathew Meyer and Mitch Mallek recorded back-to-back solo homeruns to put SCSU up 2-0 in the first, then Matt Quade extended the Huskies lead to four with his first career homer for SCSU.

Zach Walz slammed the door in relief of Miks, tossing two innings and striking out one while allowing one run on two hits.
St. Cloud State continues NSIC play on Wednesday, March 27th in Fayette, IA with a mid-week double-header against the Upper Iowa Peacocks.
