Huskies outshoot Beavers, 17-6, but can’t find back of the net
ST. CLOUD, Minn. – St. Cloud State Women's Soccer (0-3-1, 0-1-1 NSIC) dropped a hard-fought battle to Minot State (3-2-0, 2-0-0 NSIC) at Sunday afternoon at Husky Stadium. The Huskies controlled the pace of play for the majority of the game, outshooting the Beavers, 17-6, but were unable to find the back of the net in 90 minutes.
TURNING POINT
Minot State scored the only goal of the game halfway through the first half, as Chloe Allen scored off a corner kick with assists from Melanie van Walstijin and Daisey de Boer. In the second half, the Huskies had two goals called back because of offsides calls.

St. Cloud State will hit the road for a pair of NSIC contests next weekend, first facing Winona State on Friday, Sept. 24 at 5 p.m. CT, followed by a trip to Upper Iowa on Sunday, Sept. 26 at 1 p.m. CT.

- Redshirt senior midfielder Arianna Del Moral (Brooklyn Park, Minn.) led the attack for the Huskies, recording five shots on the game, including four on-goal.
- Junior forward Jenna Dominguez (Geneva, Ill.) took four shots, three on-goal, for the Huskies.
- The Beavers were able to only muster two shots on goal during the game, as redshirt freshman Evie Kohn (Stillwater, Minn.) made one save on the day.
