Bearcats complete comeback against Huskies

ARKADELPHIA, Ark. – St. Cloud State Baseball could not hold on to a three-run lead heading into the 8th inning, and Northwest Missouri State came back to walk it off 5-4 on Saturday afternoon. The Huskies grabbed their first lead of the weekend by putting up 3 runs in the first inning off a double by Tate Wallet (2-for-4, R, 2B, 2 RBI) and a single by Drew Bulson (1-for-3, RBI). St. Cloud would get another run in the top of the 7th when a Bearcats pitcher hit Paul Steffensen with the bases loaded. NWMS would pick up three runs on three hits in the bottom of the 8th to tie the game at four heading into the final frame. The Bearcats would walk it off on an infield single to hand St. Cloud State their third loss of the season.
KEY MOMENT
Northwest Missouri State's Donovan Warren doubled to start the rally for the Bearcats in the 8th inning that allowed them to tie the game. Alex Slocum shut the Huskies down in the 9th inning to pick up his first win of the season.

· Cameron Vollmer had his first multi-hit game of the season by going 2-for-3 with two doubles.
· Fabian Villegas (4.2 IP, R, BB, 5 K's) was phenomenal in his first appearance of the season out of the bullpen.
· Tate Wallat (1-for-4) picked up his first 2 RBI on the season with a double to left center field in the 1st.

· Three out of the four runs for SCSU were scored with two outs
· Starter Luke Tupy (2.1 IP, 5 H, R, BB, 2 K's) made his first start of the season
· Ryan Koski went 3-for-5 and drove in four out of the five runs including the for the Bearcats
