Huskies outshot 57%-40% from the field in 77-69 loss at Winona State
WINONA, Minn. – St. Cloud State Men's Basketball (8-12 overall, 4-10 Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference) dropped its third consecutive conference game, 77-69, to Winona State on Saturday at McCown Gymnasium.
SCSU went into the break down 10 after the buzzer beating three-pointer made by graduate student Luke Taylor (Germantown, Wis.) was reviewed and reversed because he did not get it off in time. The Warriors (12-8, 7-7 NSIC) shot a blazing 27-of-47 (57.4%) from the field for the game including 13-of-19 (68.4%) in the second half, but the Huskies were able to remain in striking distance because WSU only made 13-of-22 (59.1%) of its free throws in the second half and impressively, the Huskies did not miss from the charity stripe the entire game (16-of-16), setting a new school record for most free throws made in a game by a team without a miss.
