St. Cloud State Track & Field Competes at St. Olaf Invitational & Multi and Jack Johnson Classic

Huskies record two top-five finishes and four personal bests on Friday in Northfield, three top-five finishes and two personal bests on Saturday in Minneapolis
MINNEAPOLIS / NORTHFIELD, Minn. – St. Cloud State Track & Field sent a limited roster to compete at the St. Olaf Invitational & Multi at the Tostrud Center in Northfield on Friday, recording two top-five finishes and four new personal bests. The Huskies also competed in the Twin Cities for the second consecutive weekend at the Jack Johnson Classic, hosted by Minnesota at the Minnesota Fieldhouse in Minneapolis on Saturday, posting three top-five finishes and two personal bests.
St. Olaf Invitational & Multi
Sophomore distance runner Alena Donahue (West Salem, Wis.) ran a new personal best 5,000 meters time of 18:46.87, nearly 1:15 faster than her previous best time of 10:33.18 that she ran at the same meet last year on January 26, 2024.
Senior jumper/middle distance runner Makaylin Christenson (Prarie Farm, Wis.) and sophomore sprinter/jumper Myesha Thompson (Mount Horeb, Wis.) each competed in their first collegiate pentathlon, finishing fourth and fifth respectively. Christenson placed top-5 in three of the five events and set new personal best in the 60 hurdles (10.42) and tied her personal best in the high jump (1.59m/5-2.5). Thompson posted top-five finishes in three of the five events as well and recorded a new personal best in the high jump (1.53m/5-0.25).
Jack Johnson Classic
Sophomore thrower Alicia Jennissen (Sauk Centre, Minn.) recorded a new personal best in the shot put 10.56m/34-7.75 for the first time since her collegiate debut on December 9, 2023. Freshman thrower Kim Feller (East Helena, Mont.) recorded a new personal best in the weight throw 11.55m/37-10.75 for the first time since her collegiate debut on December 7, 2024.
Fifth year sprinter Katie Lavato (Buffalo, Minn.) recorded two top-five finishes. She was fourth in both the 200 meters (26.35) and the 400 meters (1:01.21). It was her second fastest 200-meter race of the season and her first 400-meter race since last outdoor season.
Freshman jumper/sprinter Kinsey Mohwinkle (Aplington, Iowa) finished seventh in the 60 hurdles after earning the last qualifying spot in the prelims (ninth). She also made her collegiate 200 meters debut. Freshman distance runner Abbygail Nunez (South St. Paul, Minn.) made her collegiate 800 meters debut. Sophomore sprinter Viola Okey-Ezealah (Part-Harcourt, Nigeria) finished fourth (45.71) in her collegiate debut in the 300 meters.
