Eight from St. Cloud State Wrestling Earn NWCA Scholar All-American Honors

Program produces 8+ Scholarship All-Americans for ninth consecutive season
Manheim, Pa.- Eight St. Cloud State Wrestlers have been named 2024-25 Scholar All-Americans as announced by the National Wrestling Coaches Association (NWCA) Monday afternoon. This was the ninth consecutive season where SCSU has produced 8+ Scholar All-Americans.
To earn the honors, the student-athlete must meet one of the following criteria:
For the fourth time in his career, senior Augustus Donovan has earned Scholar All-American Honors. Donovan is a business management major. On the mat, he produced a 9-2 record with two bonus point wins at 165. He took first place at the Dragon Open and earned third place at the Yellowjacket and Luther College Open.
Red-shirt freshman Dominic Ducato earned the honor for the second consecutive season. Ducato is a recreation and sports management major. He produced a 13-3 record with nine bonus point wins at 125. Ducato took first place at the Yellowjacket and Luther College Open while taking second place at the Dragon Open.
Red-shirt freshman Nathan Fury earned the recognition for the second consecutive season. Fury is a construction/business management major at SCSU. Competing at 197, Fury went 16-7 with eight bonus point wins. In open competition, Fury took first place at the Luther College Open and North Country Invite, second place at the Yellowjacket and Don Parker Open, fourth place at the Dragon Open, and sixth place at the Wisconsin Open.
Red-shirt sophomore Ethan Hendrickson was awarded the honor for the second consecutive season. Hendrickson is a construction management major. He went 5-2 with two bonus point wins. He also took third place at the Dragon Open.
For the fourth time in his career, graduate Dominic Murphy captured the honor. Murphy is a part of the MBA program at SCSU. On the mat, Murphy went 26-3 with 11 bonus point wins at 197 on his way to earning his third All-American honors of his career. He took eighth place at the NCAA Tournament and was a Super Region V Champion for the third consecutive season. He earned titles at the Luther College Open and Wisconsin Open.
Graduate Colby Njos earned NWCA Scholar All-American Honors for the first time in his career. Njos is a part of the MBA program at SCSU. At 149, Njos went 16-5 with six bonus point wins. He reached the NCAA Tournament for the third time in his career after taking third at Super Region V.
For the fourth time in his career, senior Nick Novak was named a Scholar All-American. Novak is a mechanical engineering major. Competing at 165, Novak went 25-5 with 11 bonus point wins on his way to earning his third All-American honors. He placed fourth at the NCAA tournament and was a Super Region V Champion for the fourth consecutive season. He also took first place at the Wisconsin Open and second place at Luther College Open.
Red-shirt junior Logan Vaughan earned the recognition for the second time in his career. Vaughan is a criminal justice major. At 174, Vaughan went 4-1 with three bonus point wins. He took second place at the Dragon Open.
Under Head Coach Steve Costanzo, 167 student-athletes have earned Scholar All-American honors.

- National Qualifier to the 2025 NCAA DII National Championships and 3.25 GPA
