Before SCSU: A 2014 graduate of NRHEG, where he competed for coaches Mike Weber (cross country), Duey Ferber (head track coach - high jump) and Jay Crabtree (track - distance)...5X letterwinner in cross country...3X conference champion and 2X section runner-up in cross country...a three-time state meet participant...All-State Honorable Mention in cross country (17th place)...2X team captain in cross country...earned five letters in track and field...4X conference champion (3200) and 3X conference champion (1600)...a three-time Sub-Section champion in the 3200 and 4X Sub-Section champion in the 1600...won two section championships in the 3200 and was a two-time section runner-up in the 1600 at NRHEG...a two-time state meet participant in the 1600 and 3200...gained three All-State performances as a prep athlete (placed 8th in the 3200 and 5th in the 1600 during 2013 season and placed sixth in the 1600 in 2014)...has competed for REAL Track and Field club team...helped his club team place fith at USATF National Junior Olympic Cross Country meet.
Personal: The son of Thomas and Patricia Schiltz of Hartland, Minn...biochemistry major at SCSU...participated in the jazz ensemble band during high school...enjoys music and has played alto saxophone, tenor saxophone, bartione saxophone, clarinet, bassoon and piano.
