Brett Putz rejoined the Huskies after finishing up his playing career for St. Cloud State under Head Coach Kevin Schlagel in 2011-2012. He will begin his first year as an assistant coach for the Huskies this season.
Putz was a four-year starter at guard for St. Cloud State. He was a member of the 2010 NCAA Division II Final Four team. Putz finished his career ranked first in total games played at SCSU (124) and second in career three-pointers made (245). He finished with 1,315 total career points, averaging 12 points per game his senior season.
Putz has three years of coaching experience -- working with both the Iowa Mavericks and Iowa Barnstormers AAU programs. He earned his undergraduate degree from St. Cloud State University in Recreation/Sports Management with a Minor in Athletic Coaching.
