Huskies Win Fourth Straight, 55-13 Over the University of Mary

St. Cloud State is 5-2 overall and 3-0 in the NSIC North. Mary dropped to 3-4 overall and 0-3 in the North division. The Huskies travel to Northern State University in Aberdeen, S.D., next Saturday.
Walker scored on runs of 25, 80 and five yards for a career high 166 yards as the Huskies rolled up 532 yards of total offense. The Husky defense held Mary to 286 yards of offense.
Junior wide receiver Renard Robinson (Bloomington) caught two touchdown passes and finished the game with a team high three catches for 85 yards. He caught a five-yard and 68-yard touchdown pass.
For the second time this season, junior defensive back Jack Moro (Brookfield, Wis.) intercepted three passes in a game. He leads the team with seven picks this season.
Senior linebacker Thomas Johnson (Little Canada) had a team high seven tackles and junior linebacker Todd Bestgen (Rochester) and junior back Eric Poggenburg (Cedarburg, Wis.) each had an interception for the Huskies.
Junior quarterback Phillip Klaphake (Princeton) completed 12 of 14 pass attempts for 187 yards and four touchdowns.
The Marauders Dariouse Gravely scored one touchdown and rushed for a team high 68 yards. Wide receiver Elby Pope caught seven passes for 81 yards and a touchdown.
St. Cloud State led 35-0 at the half and took the opening drive of the game 75 yards on three plays as Klaphake connected with junior wide receiver Eli Shoemaker (Graham, Wash.) on a 19-yard touchdown play. Walker scored the first of his two second quarter touchdowns at the 14:53 mark and redshirt first-year tight end Grant Thayer (Appleton, Wis.) caught a four-yard pass for a touchdown. Robinson also had a touchdown to account for the 28-point second quarter.
