SCSU Football Squares Off With No. 25 Minnesota Duluth This Saturday
10/7/2015 4:01:00 PM | Football
ST. CLOUD, Minn. - The St. Cloud State University football team (3-2, 1-0 NSIC North) looks to continue the two-game winning streak with a road trip to No. 25 University of Minnesota Duluth (3-2, 1-0 NSIC North) for a 1:05 p.m. game on Saturday, Oct. 10, at James S. Malosky Stadium.
SCSU will be playing against Minnesota Duluth for the 48th time in a series that started in 1933. The Huskies currently own a slight 24-23 series lead, but have lost two in a row and eight of the last 10 games to the Bulldogs. The Huskies are looking for the team's first win in Duluth since 2004 and will attempt to stop UMD's current 21-game NSIC North Division unbeaten streak. The Bulldogs also are a perfect 24-0 lifetime against fellow NSIC North opponents at James S. Malosky Stadium.
The last time these two teams played, UMD charted a 44-21 victory at Husky Stadium during the 2014 season. St. Cloud State last played and lost on the road at James S. Malosky Stadium by a 34-7 score during the 2013 season. The teams have played annually since 2004 with Minnesota Duluth winning eight of those times.
