Moorhead, Minn. – The St. Cloud State University women's basketball team traveled to Moorhead, Minn. this evening to take on the Dragons of MSU Moorhead. The Huskies defeated the Dragons, 65-59.

St. Cloud State improves to 4-3 overall and 4-0 in the NSIC. MSU Moorhead falls to 6-1 overall and 3-1 in the conference.

The Huskies led the Dragons 39-26 at the half, shooting 45.16% compared to Moorhead's 33.33% The Huskies outrebounded the Dragons 50-34.

Senior forward Lexy Petermann (Fond du Lac, Wis.) led the Huskies with 14 points. Petermann made a perfect four of four from behind the arc.

Junior guard Betsy MacDonald (St. Paul, Minn.) finished with 13 points, four assists, and one steal.

Junior guard Chelsea Nooker (Green Bay, Wis.) led the Huskies with 11 rebounds.

Cassidy Thorson led all players with 15 points for the Dragons.

St. Cloud State will return to action tomorrow afternoon as they take on Northern State University. The Wolves are currently 6-3 overall and 2-2 in the conference.
