Volleyball Falls to #1 Minnesota Duluth

Duluth, Minn.- The St. Cloud State Volleyball team fell to #1 Minnesota Duluth Bulldogs on Oct. 18 in three straight sets.
The Huskies (8-13, 3-9 NSIC) struggled to get their feet underneath them as the Bulldogs (20-0, 12-0 NSIC) got out to a quick lead in the first set at 12-3. The Bulldogs finished up the set quickly winning 25-15. The next two sets followed mostly the same with the Bulldogs winning 25-12 and 25-15.
St. Cloud State was led offensively by Micah Nier who had nine kills, with Macy Weller adding six, and Shannon Klink added three. Marissa Kline dished out 22 assists for the Huskies and Clara Krenz managed the defense racking up 12 digs. Krenz also added two aces with Nicole Miller getting a pair as well. Weller accounted for the lone Huskies block on the night.
The Huskies will return home for a couple days of practice before heading out on the road this weekend to take on #8 Augustana and #9 Wayne State on Oct. 21 and 22 respectively. St. Cloud State will return home next weekend on Oct. 28-29 for games against #2 Southwest Minnesota State and Sioux Falls. Tickets are still available for all Huskies home games and can be purchased at the gate or at scsutickets.com. Students, don't forget that simply showing your ID can get you into all Huskies home games for FREE!
