Volleyball Travels to Take on Augustana and Wayne State

St. Cloud, Minn.- The St. Cloud State Volleyball team will hit the road this weekend to travel down to South Dakota to take on Augustana and Wayne State College on Oct. 21-22.
The Huskies (8-13, 3-9 NSIC) will first face off against the #8 Augustana Augies (18-4, 9-3 NSIC) on Oct. 21 at 7 p.m. This will be the only meeting between the Huskies and Augies this season, after only meeting once last season as well. Augustana proved to be the victor in that match, outlasting the Huskies to take the match 3-1.
The match-up was close, however as the Huskies outblocked the Augies 11-9, while also racking up 4 aces compared to the Augies' 3. Shannon Klink had a marquee game in the match hitting 12 kills, three blocks, and 15 digs.

Following their match with Augustana, the ladies will head to #9 Wayne State (16-5, 7-5 NSIC) on Oct. 22 for a 4 p.m. match up against the Wildcats. St. Cloud State will also only face the Wildcats once this season, as they did last year.
In the lone match between the Huskies and the Wildcats last season, Wayne State was able to pull out the victory sweeping the Huskies 3-0. The Huskies however out blocked the Wildcats 5-0.

The Huskies will return to home court on Oct. 28-29 for matches against Southwest Minnesota State University and Sioux Falls respectively.
