With Target Center in the midst of a significant renovation, the National Collegiate Hockey Conference (NCHC) has announced timing and pricing for ticket sales to its fourth annual championship, the 2017 NCHC Frozen Faceoff. The two-day tournament is set for Friday and Saturday, March 17-18 once again in downtown Minneapolis at the newly improved Target Center.
Beginning on Thursday, Sept. 15, Frozen Faceoff All-Session Ticket Holders from the 2016 tournament will have the opportunity to renew their tickets for the 2017 championship while reserving their preferred seat location from the previous year. An email will be sent to those ticket holders on Sept. 8 detailing how to renew their tickets and secure their seat location by logging into their online account. In order to retain their preferred seat location, all-session ticket holders must renew for the 2017 Frozen Faceoff by Monday, Oct. 31.
If renewing fans have changed their email address since last season, they should notify Target Center immediately by emailing nchchockey@targetcenter.com. Fans that have questions or issues with their online account, feel as though they should have received an email and did not, or would like to change their seat location can do so by emailing nchchockey@targetcenter.com as well.
Also beginning Sept. 15, all-session tickets to the 2017 Frozen Faceoff will go on sale to the general public, with tickets available in select sections. Starting in November, any seats that have not been renewed will be released to the general public. Single day-session tickets (one day, two games) will go on sale closer to the Frozen Faceoff. For the latest ticket links and information, visit TargetCenter.com.
Any fan, whether renewing or attending for the first time, that purchases an all-session ticket to the 2017 NCHC Frozen Faceoff by Saturday, Dec. 31, 2016 will become a Priority Ticket Member and receive additional perks surrounding the NCHC's championship weekend, along with the tickets. Similar to last season, the perks Priority Ticket Members will receive are early entry into the arena via a VIP door, a complimentary game program, and discounts off NCHC merchandise and select Target Center concessions at the Frozen Faceoff.
All coupons, vouchers and VIP identification will be a part of the commemorative tickets, which will be mailed to Priority Ticket Members in early March of 2017. No refunds or exchanges will be made and transfer of tickets will not be permitted.
All-session tickets to the 2017 NCHC Frozen Faceoff include one ticket to see both semifinals on Friday, March 17 and one ticket to see the third-place game and championship on Saturday, March 18. On March 17, the first semifinal begins at 4:00 p.m. CT with the second game at 7:30 p.m. CT. The following day, the third-place game begins at 3:30 p.m. CT with the championship at 7:30 p.m. CT.
All-session tickets to the 2017 NCHC Frozen Faceoff are available at various price points depending on seat location (seating chart). For premium seats in the middle sections of the lower bowl (sections 109-113 and 129-133), all-session tickets will remain $135 per person. For all other lower bowl seats and upper level sections 208-214 and 228-234 (rows A-H), tickets have been lowered to $120. The remaining seats in the premium upper level sections (row J and higher in sections 208-214 and 228-234) are $65 per ticket. All other upper level seats (sections 201-207, 215-227 and 235-240) will be general admission and will go on sale at a later date.
The NCHC will also be offering special ticket pricing for students for the NCHC Frozen Faceoff. Starting in October, students of NCHC member schools may purchase all-session general admission tickets for $30 and may purchase up to two tickets per school ID. Student tickets may ONLY be purchased online using a school-specific code that is available through each school's ticket office.

Although renovations will still be ongoing when the 2017 Frozen Faceoff rolls around in March, fans will see big changes at Target Center, including a new state-of-the-art scoreboard (the largest in the Upper Midwest), improved premium spaces, and a newly designed arena entry on the Skyway Level (main lobby renovation will not be complete until the 2018 Frozen Faceoff). Over the course of 18 months, Target Center will be completely transformed to address a number of operational needs - providing better access for events and improving pedestrian traffic flow. In addition to major aesthetic changes, it will also result in better guest amenities and additional seating, as well as enhanced hospitality spaces. The venue will proudly reopen and give fans a NEW experience in the fourth quarter of 2017. To learn more about Target Center's renovation and get a sneak-peek at the changes to come, click here.
Along with the hockey games at Target Center, a NCHC Fan Fest will once again be held prior to games each day, while an official NCHC Post-Game Party will also be offered each night at The Pint. Other events surrounding the NCHC Frozen Faceoff include an NCHC Fan Skate and the NCHC Awards Celebration.
Last season, all four NCHC Frozen Faceoff participants also earned a berth in the NCAA Tournament, with two making the NCAA Frozen Four and North Dakota becoming the conference's first national champion. The NCHC drops the puck on its fourth season Oct. 1-2 with six teams playing exhibition games and Minnesota Duluth opening the regular season, while six teams begin the regular season the following weekend.
