St. Cloud State Falls to Colorado School of Mines 3-0

Golden, Colo. – The St. Cloud State University volleyball team (0-2 overall) fell to Colorado School of Mines (1-0 overall) 25-21, 26-24, 25-21 in another close match on Friday, Sept. 2, in Golden, Colo. at the Oredigger Volleyball Classic.
Krista Kuglin led the Huskies in the match with 10 kills, while teammates Shannon Klink added eight kills and Macy Weller had seven kills. Marissa Kline led the team with 32 assists and Clara Krenz registered nine digs. Taylor Rollo registered two blocks on the match.
"We passed very well on the day, and were in every set we played, losing by only 2 points a couple times," said Coach Chad Braegelmann. "We need to do a better job on offense and we will definitely improve over the course of the season. I'm excited to see how we improve from today to tomorrow and into next weekend."
Colorado School of Mines was lead offensively by Alanna Winfield who had 15 kills. Delany Duis led the team with 37 assists, and Taryn Huber had 18 digs to pace the team.
The Huskies complete tournament competition Saturday playing Edinboro University of Pennsylvania at 10 A.M. MDT followed by University Nebraska-Kearney at 4:30 P.M MDT. Fans can follow along both matches with live stats here.
