
Betsy MacDonald and Chelsea Nooker Receive Post Season Honors

Burnsville, Minn.- The Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference announced it's All-Conference honors this afternoon, and both of the women's basketball seniors found themselves among the players honored.

Betsy MacDonald was named to the NSIC All-Conference First Team after her stellar final season with the Huskies. MacDonald led the Huskies this season with 480 points, averaging 17.8 points per game. She led the Huskies in field goals made with 173, three pointers made (83), and tied for free throws made (51). MacDonald is now the single season record holder in Huskies' women's basketball history for both 3 point field goals made in a season (83) and three point field goals attempted in a season (231). She also holds the second spot for field goals made in the women's basketbabll career record book with 231 3 pointers in her career and comes in first for 3 pointers attempted with 594.

Chelsea Nooker was honored twice by the league this season being named to both the All-Conference Second Team and the All-Defensive Team. This marks the second time that Nooker has been named to the All-Defensive Team. Nooker was right behind MacDonald in all her offensive categories scoring 395Â points this season. She led the Huskies in rebounds for the season, with 160 grabbed. She also led the Huskies in steals with 57 and 14 blocks to lead the Huskies defensive core. Nooker will go down in the career record books as 9th in both steals and blocked shots with 195 and 68 respectively.

The two were honored one day after the Huskies' season ended with a loss at Sioux Falls in the first round of the playoffs. Nooker led the team in what would prove to be her final game in a Huskies jersey with 17 points, while MacDonald put up eight points in her final game.Â
