Softball Plays Against MSU Moorhead, Sioux Falls and Southwest Minnesota State This Week

ST. CLOUD, Minn. – The St. Cloud State softball team (25-19, 9-9 NSIC) has six NSIC games this week. The program begins the week with a trip to Moorhead, Minn. to take on MSU Moorhead (8-27, 3-15 NSIC) on Wednesday, April 19, at 2 p.m. and 4 p.m. The team then returns home to host a pair of doubleheaders. The program takes on Sioux Falls (23-20, 10-8 NSIC) on Saturday, April 22, for two games starting at 12 p.m. The team then welcomes in Southwest Minnesota State (17-17, 8-10 NSIC) on Sunday, April 23, for a doubleheader at 1 p.m. and 3 p.m.

Senior Day – Jessica Goerger
- This year each of St. Cloud State's seven senior softball players has chosen a day to have their Senior Day on.
- On April 22, senior Jessica Goerger will be honored and recognized.
- Goerger is a first baseman from Mankato, Minn. and is a four-year player for SCSU
- Goerger has played in 182 games with 175 starts in her career
- She has a career batting average of .333 with 65 runs, 169 hits, 28 doubles, 23 home runs and 116 RBIs.
- Goerger is the school's all-time leader in hit by pitches (28) and ranks among the career leaders at St. Cloud State in home runs (5th), RBIs (7th) and on-base percentage (8th – .415)
- She hit .384 with eight home runs, 12 doubles and 37 RBIs as a sophomore.
- Goerger hit .324 with 11 home runs and 38 RBIs plus 20 walks as a junior.
- This season, Georger is hitting .331 with 16 runs, 43 hits, eight doubles, a triple, three home runs and 35 RBIs.
- She currently is placed seventh in the NSIC in RBIs
- Goerger was named to the 2015 and 2016 NSIC All-Academic Team.
- She has also taken on the leadership role of being a team captain in each of the last two seasons.

- On April 23, senior Megan Hedstrom will be honored and recognized
- She is a senior pitcher from Palatine, Ill that has spent three years at St. Cloud State after transferring from North Dakota.
- Hedstrom has played in 109 games with 90 starts in her career as a batter.
- In the circle, Hedstrom has pitched in 89 games with 51 starts.
- She has a career record of 30-32 with a 3.33 ERA, 25 complete games, three shutouts and seven saves.
- Her seven saves are the second-most in school history.
- As a hitter, Hedstrom has a career batting average of .253 with 35 runs, 55 hits, eight doubles, three triples, five home runs, 31 RBIs, 12 walks and eight stolen bases.
- Her best offensive year as a sophomore when she hit .290 with 31 hits, three home runs and 21 RBIs.
- She has won at least nine games in every season pitching for SCSU including career-highs of 12 wins, 133 innings, four saves and two shutouts this season.
- Hedstrom is ninth in school history in career appearances (89), wins (30) and lowest opponent batting average against (.269).
- This season, she became the first pitcher at SCSU to throw a no-hitter since the 2013 campaign and the first to throw a perfect game since the 2007 season.

- Coletto is ninth all-time in doubles and tied for 10th all-time in home runs at SCSU
- She has played and started at least 40 games in each of her four seasons.
- As a sophomore, Coletto hit .293 with 51 hits, nine doubles, seven home runs and 33 RBIs.
- As a junior, she hit .337 with 57 hits, six doubles, five home runs and 21 RBIs.
- This season, Coletto is having an outstanding season in which she is hitting .384 with 18 runs, 48 hits, 12 doubles, four home runs with 27 RBIs
- She currently is sixth in the NSIC in doubles

- Emma Schifferie sports a .353 batting average with 27 runs, 54 hits, nine doubles, two home runs and 25 RBIs.
- Kerrigan Hoshaw is hitting .330 with 32 hits, nine doubles, eight home runs and 27 RBIs.
- She also works as one of the primary pitchers and has nine wins, plus 72 strikeouts in 99.2 innings pitched
