Football Hosts Augustana on Saturday Night

ST. CLOUD, Minn. - The St. Cloud State University football team (2-1, 0-0 NSIC North) returns home to Husky Stadium to host Augustana (2-1, 0-0 NSIC South) on Saturday, Sept. 23, at 6 p.m. The game is the Hall of Fame Game where six former student-athletes, a former coach and Distinguished Service Award winner will be inducted into the school's Hall of Fame at halftime of the football game.

- Augustana have won two in a row after defeating Bemidji State by a 30-27 score in overtime last weekend in Sioux Falls, S.D.
- The game saw the Vikings rack up 28 first downs, 184 yards rushing and 315 yards passing.
- Ryan Bradberry scored the game-winning touchdown on a five-yard run in overtime.
- The team has three running backs with over 100 yards rushing this season with Bradberry leading the team with 150 yards.
- Ryan Rubley has worked as the primary quarterback and is 44-for-77 for 452 yards and four touchdowns.
- Trevor DeSchepper is the leading receiver with 16 catches for 169 yards.
- Kirby Hora leads the defense with 50 tackles.
- He also has two tackles for loss and two sacks.
- Jordan Determan and Jordan Johnson both have a pair of interceptions.

- St. Cloud State defeated Concordia-St. Paul by a 56-21 score last weekend.
- The 56 points scored was the most for the program since scoring 59 against MSU Moorhead during the 2015 season.
- The 56 points on the road were the most tallied in a road contest since the team put up 57 against Minot State during the 2012 season.
- Dwayne Lawhorn went 18-for-25 for 254 yards and four touchdowns.
- He became just the seventh SCSU quarterback to throw four or more touchdowns in a single game.
- Lawhorn's four passing touchdowns were the most for an SCSU quarterback since Nate Meyer also had four passing touchdowns against Minnesota Duluth during the 2015 season.
- Lawhorn also ran for 73 yards and a touchdown in the game to account for five touchdowns in total.
- The five accounted for touchdowns were the most since Meyer also accounted for five against the University of Mary last season.
- The program also had a pair of 100 yard receivers in the game for the first time since the 2015 season.
- Cole Otto caught eight passes for 111 yards and a touchdown.
- John Pass picked up seven catches for 110 yards and two scores.
- The duo are the first to both get 100 yards in the same game since Jameson Parsons and Grant Thayer accomplished the feat against Bemidji State during the 2015 campaign.
- Gregory Lewis recorded 47 yards and two rushing touchdowns.
- Curtwan Evans picked up 69 yards on 15 carries.
- Matt Winters totaled 42 yards and a touchdown on his nine attempts.
- Jack Horter led the team with his six tackles and a sack.
- SCSU picked up 28 first downs, 482 yards of offense plus held the ball for 43:10 in the contest against the Golden Bears.
- The defense surrendered just 25 yards rushing and are currently ranked second nationally in allowing just 39 rushing yards a contest.
- SCSU is the current national leader in time of possession at 38:14.

- The Huskies are on the road next week and travel to play against Minnesota Duluth on Sept. 28, at 7 p.m. on Midco Sports Network for the NSIC Thursday Night Football Game
- SCSU is 24-25 all-time against UMD in a series that started in 1933.
- SCSU program fell to the Bulldogs by a 48-34 score last season in St. Cloud.
