SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – The St. Cloud State University football team has experienced quite a bit of excitement over the past two weeks. With homecoming and a huge overtime victory behind them, the Huskies will hit the road for their next Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC) contest, as they head to Sioux Falls, South Dakota to take on Augustana Universtiy in a cross-divisional game.
This is the second time in two weeks St. Cloud State will cross paths with an NSIC South opponent and comes on the heels of the team's thrilling overtime victory over Concordia-St. Paul last weekend.
Live stats and video will be available for Saturday's game, with kickoff scheduled for 1p.m. Fans can also tune into WJON AM 1240 and 95.3 FM to listen to JW Cox' live in-game broadcast, while score updates will be made to the team's official Twitter page (@SCSUHuskiesFB).

Here are the five things to know before Saturday's matchup:
1 – One touchdown proved to be the difference in St. Cloud State's win over the Golden Bears last weekend. In a game that featured nine combined field goals between the Huskies Adam Stage (Appleton, Wis. / Kimberly) and Concordia-St. Paul's Danny Laudet, it was a lone touchdown that lead St. Cloud State to victory. On third-and-goal from the three-yard line on their first possession in OT, the Huskies needed to either make a field goal to tie or score six to win the game outright. Thanks to Dwayne Lawhorn (Germantown, Wis. / Germantown) and Anthony Carver (Milwaukee, Wis. / Lutheran) an extra OT wasn't needed, as senior quarterback connected with senior tight end to secure the 18-15 win for St. Cloud State.
12/82 – The overtime drive wasn't the only highlight of the game for the Huskies. The defense continued to overwhelm, as it help the Golden Bears to just 43 net yards rushing while recorded 12 tackles for a loss of 82 yards. Junior linebacker Zach Stecklein (Mt. Horeb, Wis. / Mt. Horeb) led the way with 2.5 tackles for loss, both of which were sacks, while Josh Krause (Seymour, Wis. / Seymour) forced one tackle for a team-leading 29 yards.
3 – In addition to being really good at tackling, the St. Cloud State defense has recorded three interceptions in the last three days. The player who's responsible for this? None other than Payton Conrad (Tea, S.D. / Tea). The sophomore has recorded an interception in each of the Huskies last three games, including one in the end zone against Concordia-St. Paul last weekend. Currently, Conrad leads the NSIC in interceptions this season and is the only St. Cloud State player to record one in 2019.
37 – There have been thirty-seven meetings between the Huskies and Vikings, dating all the way back to 1950. Currently, St. Cloud State leads the series 22-15 and won the last meeting between the two teams in 2017 by a score of 26-14. However, prior to that 2017 win, Augustana held a 3-2 advantage in the series with its last win occurring in 2015.
2018 – In December of 2018, the Vikings athletic department released its plan to purse a move from Division II to I, thusly leaving the NSIC for, presumably, the Summit League. As of now, Augustana's goal is to receive an invite to a Division I conference by the 2021-22 academic year, and the department must receive an official invite before it can begin the transition.
