St. Cloud State's Klára Hymlárová named WCHA Player of the Week

The Western Collegiate Hockey Association named St. Cloud State University freshman Klára Hymlárová as its Women's Rookie of the Week for Dec. 9-15.
St. Cloud State's Klára Hymlárová tallied two goals in the Huskies weekend road-series against Bemidji State. She scored one goal in each game for SCSU. Over the weekend Hymlárová also had eight shots on goal, one blocked shot and also contributed heavily on the Huskies' special teams. The Opava, Czech Republic native leads the Huskies in points this season with 11 total (4g,-7a). Hymlárová's two goals this weekend make her as the top scorer among WCHA freshmen with four goals total this season.
This is Klára Hymlárová's third time earning WCHA's Rookie of the Week honors. Previous honors were earned Nov. 18-24 and Oct. 14-20. Overall this season, Hymlárová has played in 17 games this season and also has 12 blocked shots for the Huskies.
St. Cloud State will continue its 2019-20 season on Dec. 13-14 with a pair of non-conference games in Erie, Pennsylvania against Mercyhurst University.
