#1 seed St. Cloud State to open NCAA tourney vs. American International

St. Cloud State University (30-5-3) has earned the number seed in the NCAA Division I men's ice hockey tournament for the second consecutive season.
The Huskies were named the tourney's top seed on the NCAA bracket, which was announced on Sunday, March 24. SCSU will open tournament play on Friday, March 29 at 6:30 p.m. CT against American International (22-16-1) at Scheels Arena in Fargo, N.D.
The first game in the NCAA West Regional in Fargo on March 29 will feature Denver (22-11-5) against Ohio State (20-10-5) at 3:00 p.m. CT. The two winning teams will then advance to the West Region title game on Saturday, March 30 at 8 p.m. CT in Fargo, N.D., which be available for viewing on ESPNU and WatchESPN.
Fans will be able to watch the SCSU-American International game on ESPN3 and WatchESPN, and they can listen on The River 96.7 FM and KVSC FM 88.1.
This marks SCSU 14th NCAA tournament bid and it will be the Huskies' second consecutive trip to the NCAA tournament and sixth NCAA bid since advancing to the NCAA Frozen Four in 2013. This will be first time that SCSU has played against American International.
