TUCSON, Ariz. - In their third game of the Tucson Invitational Games, the #11 St. Cloud State baseball team (8-1, 0-0 NSIC) defeated Concordia-St. Paul 15-6 on March, 6. St. Cloud State extends their winning streak to three with the victory over CSP.

Trailing 4-0 early in the ball game, SCSU took the lead with a five-run fourth inning. Matt Quade and Ethan Ibarra each charted two RBI's to put SCSU on the board, then Mathew Meyer delivered a 2 RBI single that tied the game 4-4. Lenny Walker would continue his hot streak with a RBI single that gave SCSU their first lead of the game.
The Huskies would build on their lead by scoring once in the fifth to lead 6-4 before CSP would respond with a two-run seventh inning that tied the game once again.

Utilizing a seven-run seventh inning, St. Cloud State took a 13-6 lead and would not allow another run the rest of the contest.
Najee Gaskins capped off the game with a bellowing two run shot to left field that gave SCSU a 15-6 lead.
Dominic Austing (2-0) was the winning pitcher of record after striking out nine in seven innings of work. Austing scattered eight hits and four runs across those seven innings to record his second win of the season.

As a team, the Huskies out-hit CSP 17-9 and only allowed two walks as a staff.
Toran Shahidi was 4-4 at the plate with 1 RBI and three runs scored while Najee Gaskins was 2-4, with three RBI's, including his second home run of the season. Lenny Walker and Matt Quade each recorded two RBI's while Dylan Haskamp was 1-3 with two runs scored and a crucial RBI in the fifth inning to put SCSU up 6-4.
Matt Butler relieved Austing with a clean eighth inning, then George Loxtercamp made his collegiate debut, tossing a scoreless ninth frame.

#11 SCSU returns to action on Thursday, March 7 against Bemidji State at 4 PM MST. SCSU's game against the Beavers will be broadcasted live on the KVSC Sports Stream.
