QUOTABLES
St. Cloud State Men's Soccer Head Coach Sean Holmes
"I was very pleased with both the performance and the result. We played a lot of guys, the game was played in a good-spirited manner as befits the first-ever 'Stearns County Battle,' and I thought we learned more about our team and what guys are going to step up over the course of the season. I feel really certain about who our first XI is, but you don't compete for championships with just the first eleven guys. A lot more guys revealed themselves today, what they can do and contribute to the greater cause. We played people in different positions to give us minutes doing certain things, and I was pleased. The best part of it was; we gave up a silly goal and then we responded within a minute. That's always a good sign of character and resilience. I still think we're a little tired from our long trip to South Dakota, so for the guys to pop back up and score gave you the sense of, 'okay, that's good.' All in all, a good day at the office!"
