St. Cloud State Men’s Soccer debuts at home with Saturday match against Morningside

ST. CLOUD, Minn. – St. Cloud State Men's Soccer opens its home schedule this Saturday with a match against Morningside College. The match will be the inaugural home opener for the program as the Huskies look for their second win of their debut season.
The Huskies and Mustangs are scheduled to play at 7:00 p.m. CST at Husky Stadium. Live streaming and live stats are both available at the respective links with in-game updates provided on Twitter via @SCSUMSOCCER. KVSC 88.1 FM will also be carrying the game. The Huskies' dance team will be performing at halftime, and the first 100 fans to enter Husky Stadium will receive a SCSU Men's Soccer schedule poster.
Emmanuel Iwe leads the Huskies with two goals this season, adding one assist for a team-leading five points, while Philip Caputo, Zinedine Kroeten and Jakob Mohrlok have each found the back of the net once. Jake Leonard leads the way in assists with two. For Morningside, Noah Aniser paces the team with two goals while Noah Jorritsma has a pair of assists. Junior keeper Bjarne Huth has started all three matches, guiding the Mustangs to a 2-1-0 record with a .769 save rate and a 1.88 goals against.
Following their home opener on Saturday, the Huskies will hit the road next weekend to face Davenport and Purdue Northwest before returning home on September 24 against Northwood.
