HAMMOND, Ind. - St. Cloud State Men's Soccer (4-10-2, 2-8-2 GLIAC) gave up three in the first half and scored the only goal of the second, as they fell to Purdue Northwest (8-5-2, 5-5-1 GLIAC).

The Lions got off to as hot of a start as they could of hope for, scoring goals in the 1st, 7th, and 16th minute of the game. Yousif Atia attempted to answer immediately after the opening goal but was denied by the Lions keeper.

As the 2nd half began, both teams traded shots on goal with saves from both keepers to keep the game at 3-0 Lions. In the 67th minute, Kingsley Kanu came into the Lions box and fired a shot that was deflected towards King Dwumah Acheampong. Acheampong attempted a bicycle kick that was saved by the Lions keeper before Andrés García found the rebound and fired the ball in for the Huskies first goal of the game.
