Huskies drop their first GLIAC game at Husky Stadium
ST. CLOUD, Minn - St. Cloud State Men's Soccer (2-4-0) hosted the Purdue Northwest Lions (4-0-1). The Huskies would fall in their first conference game of the season 2-1.
Purdue Northwest came out the gates firing as the Lions, Gianluca Franco, opened the gates with a goal in the third minute, followed by Landon Potts in the 12th minute. The Lions would carry a two-goal lead into the locker room. The Huskies began the 2nd half in better form and got the ball to hit the back of the netting in the 58th minute as King Dwumah Acheampong scored his first goal of the season on the assist from Gavin Gaetz. Huskies held the ball for the majority of the 2nd half with multiple different chances, but they couldn't score the equalizer, and the Lions would go on to win 2-1.
