Huskies fall 2-0 against Division I Tommies
ST. PAUL, Minn - St. Cloud State Men's Soccer (1-2-0) traveled down to St. Paul, Minn to take on the University of St. Thomas (2-1-2) at the South Field Soccer Complex. The Huskies challenged the Tommies but went on to lose 2-0.
The Tommies, Owen Marshall, got things started for UST off the feed from Oliver Corris in the 12th minute to put the Tommies ahead 1-0. The Huskies, Johan Lopez, had a nice chance in the 1st half but couldn't convert the scoring opportunity. Both teams would battle for possession for the remainder of the half, and each squad would head into halftime with the score remaining 1-0 Tommies. In the 2nd half, Jacob Nokken scored all alone in the 75th minute to extend the Tommies lead 2-0. Jovan Koceski challenged the Tommie keeper in the final minutes but was stopped to keep the Huskies scoreless. The Huskies challenged the Tommies numerous times, with lots of good chances, and stellar play from multiple players.
