Anthony Roberts tallies eighth double-double with 26 points and 10 rebounds
WAYNE, NEB. – The St. Cloud State University men's basketball team fell to 8-9 overall and 4-6 in Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC) play with an 83-59 loss at Wayne State. The Huskies were led in scoring by Anthony Roberts (Chicago, Ill. / Oak Park), who tallied a double-double with 26 points and 10 rebounds.
GAME SUMMARY
St. Cloud State trailed 43-25 at the half despite a 14 point performance from Anthony Roberts (Chicago, Ill. / Oak Park) in the opening 20 minutes of play. The Huskies actually managed to hang with the Wildcats early in the game, cutting the lead to 29-20 at the 10 minute mark. However, St. Cloud State could not figure out Wayne State's stingy defense, resulting in the early deficit.
The Huskies were unable to make up the deficit in the second half, resulting in an 83-59 loss in Wayne, Nebraska. Roberts closed the game with a double-double, scoring a team-leading 26 points with 10 rebounds in the defeat.
