Duffy went 3-3 with 3.18 ERA and two saves in 2022 with SCSU
ST. CLOUD, Minn. – St. Cloud State Baseball alum Ryan Duffy (South St. Paul, Minn.) has signed a professional contract with the Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks of the American Association, as announced on Tuesday. Duffy spent the 2022 season with the Huskies after four seasons at D-I Minnesota (2018-21).
"i'm just really happy and proud of Ryan and his family," said head coach Pat Dolan. "He's put so much time and effort into becoming the player he is and he has a high ceiling. Coming from a Big Ten school like Minnesota as a fifth-year transfer was just awesome how he fit in with the culture we have at #Huskyland."
This season, Duffy was a key member of the Husky pitching staff, making nine starts and four appearances out of the bullpen, posting a 3-3 record, 3.18 ERA, two saves and two complete games over 45.1 innings of work. He ranked third on the team in strikeouts with 53, which included a 13-strikeout complete game masterpiece of a start against Winona State on March 24. The win over the Warriors started the Huskies 18-game win streak, its longest since 2016.
In four seasons with the Gophers, Duffy recorded two wins and a save in 41 appearances with 68 strikeouts.
