
No. 13 Huskies Volleyball Hosts No. 2 CSP, Minnesota State-Mankato

SCSU prepares for two key home matches at Halenbeck Hall
ST. CLOUD Minn. – No. 13 St. Cloud State Volleyball (14-6, 7-4 NSIC) returns home to Halenbeck Hall this weekend to host No. 2 Concordia-St. Paul (18-1, 9-1 NSIC) and Minnesota State-Mankato (9-9, 4-6 NSIC) on Friday and Saturday, October 20-21. The Huskies greet CSP on Friday at 6:00 p.m. CT with a 2:00 p.m. CT first serve against the Mavericks on Saturday afternoon.
BROADCAST INFORMATION
Both matches will be broadcast on the NSIC Network with live stats provided by St. Cloud State. Links to each streaming option can be found on the SCSU Volleyball schedule page.
WEEKEND PROMOTIONS
Friday's match is Camper Reunion Night and a Youth Night with all campers receiving free admission while all non-campers ages 13 and under receiving free admission with a paid adult. Saturday's match celebrates the program's annual Dig Pink Match in partnership with the Side-Out Foundation and The Firefly Sisterhood.
HOME SWEET HALENBECK
SCSU Volleyball has enjoyed tremendous success in the friendly confines of Halenbeck Hall, going 36-8 (.818) at home since 2019 while winning 39 of their last 46 home matches.
LAST TIME OUT
Then-No. 8 St. Cloud State (14-6, 7-4 NSIC) fell in four sets to Bemidji State (8-10, 5-5 NSIC) on Saturday afternoon in Bemidji, dropping the match 25-22, 19-25, 18-25 and 26-28. The Huskies were outhit .213 to .116 as the offense recorded just 42 kills on the night. Redshirt sophomore middle blocker Sam Zimmerman led the Huskies with 12 kills on .333 hitting alongside two blocks and a pair of digs while junior opposite Natalie Tesch hit .353 with eight kills. Senior outside hitter Kenzie Foley posted her 12th double-double of the season with 11 kills and 18 digs, adding three aces and a pair of blocks.
NAVIGATING THE NORTHERN SUN
The Huskies are 56-15 in league play dating back to 2019 and earned the 2021 NSIC Regular Season Championship with a 19-1 campaign, adding two 15-win seasons in that span while establishing themselves as a true power in the Northern Sun. Over that span, nine of SCSU's 12 losses have been at the hands of ranked teams - speaking to the strength of the ever-competitive NSIC. SCSU has finished .500 or better in conference play for four straight seasons and have earned a top five finish in three consecutive campaigns.
LEGEND STATUS
Senior outside Kenzie Foley continues to ascend the Huskies' program leaderboards for career kills and points. Foley enters the weekend 14 kills away from reaching Lisette Hayden (1990-93) for fifth all-time while standing 107.0 points from reaching Hayden for seventh. The two-time AVCA All-American and 2021 AVCA National Freshman of the Year is just 41 digs away from reaching 1,000 in that category.
