Klára Hymlárová Named WCHA Forward of the Week

Fifth year forward led conference in goals, faceoff wins and power play goals as SCSU went 2-1-0
BLOOMINGTON, Minn. – St. Cloud State Women's Hockey fifth-year forward Klára Hymlárová has been named the Western Collegiate Hockey Association (WCHA) Forward of the Week on Monday afternoon by the league office following a terrific three-game stretch. The honor is Hymlárová's first career Forward of the Week nod and her fourth collegiate weekly award including three Rookie of the Week selections in 2019-20.
Hymlárová enjoyed a phenomenal week sparking the offense as No. 13 St. Cloud State went 2-1-0 overall while earning the Ice Breaker Championship with a perfect weekend in Connecticut. The fifth-year center led the league in goals (4), faceoff wins (29) and power play goals (2) while sharing the lead in points (5) and producing the second-most shots on goal (11). Hymlárová was named Most Outstanding Player at the 2023 Ice Breaker after leading the Huskies to the title with a natural hat trick in the Championship Game.
