St. Cloud State Track & Field Finishes Season at NSIC Outdoor Championship

Huskies record six personal bests and two season bests at conference meet
DULUTH, Minn. – St. Cloud State Track & Field posted two top 10 finishes, six personal bests and two season bests at the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC) Championships on Thursday-Saturday, May 8-10 at Malosky Stadium on the campus of Minnesota Duluth.
Fifth year sprinter Katie Lavato (Buffalo, Minn.) set a new personal best in the 200 meters (24.49) and a new season best in the 100 meters (12.05) in her final meet as a Husky. Senior multi-event athlete Makaylin Christenson (Prairie Farm, Wis.) ran to a new personal best in the 100 hurdles (15.99) and tied her personal best in the high jump after clearing 1.65m/5-5.
Sophomore thrower Hannah Bruskiewicz (Rogers, Minn.) (12.66m/41-6.5) and freshman thrower Mackenzie McMahon (Baraboo, Wis.) (12.33m/40-5.5) each recorded new personal bests in the shot put. Freshman thrower Kim Feller (East Helena, Mont.) posted a new personal best in the javelin throw (33.48m/109-10).
The quartet of Lavato, sophomore sprinter Jenna Marxhausen (Two Harbors, Minn.), freshman sprinter Emma Hoppman (Red Wing, Minn.) and freshman distance runner Abbygail Nunez (South St. Paul, Minn.) ran a new season best time in the 4x400 relay (4:01.85).
