Huskies Down Dakota State 88-63 to Improve to 4-0

St. Cloud, Minn. – The St. Cloud State University women's basketball team took the court at Halenbeck Hall for a 7 p.m. tipoff vs. Dakota State University. The Huskies grabbed their fourth straight win to improve to 4-0 after defeating the Lady T's 88-63 in tonight's action.
Dakota State came out shooting hot, forcing the Huskies to trail until the 5:10 mark in the first half. St. Cloud State led by six at the half (41-35) and shot 51.6% from the field. The Lady T's shot 56% from the field in the first half.
The Huskies took control in the final twenty minutes, led by senior guard Sam Price (Eau Claire, Wis.) shooting six of seven from behind the arc and hitting five of six free throws to tie her career high of 25 points.
Three additional Huskies finished in double-figures. Jessica Benson (Grand Meadow) grabbed her third double-double of the season, finishing with 16 points and 11 rebounds. Benson also dished out five assists.
Freshman guard Betsy MacDonald (St. Paul) finished with a season-high 12 points. MacDonald added four assists and two steals.
Freshman guard Chelsea Nooker (Green Bay, Wis.) shot four of six from the field and two of two at the line to finish with 11 points. Nooker had a game-high five steals.
The Huskies scored 44 points off of Dakota State turnovers and scored 36 bench points compared to DSU's 4.
St. Cloud State won the rebounding battle, 34-25 and got to the line 20 times (18-20) compared to the Lady T's 10 (9-10).
St. Cloud State will return to action on Saturday, Nov. 30 as they host Minnesota Duluth in their Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC) opener. The women will tipoff at 2 p.m. with the men to follow at 4 p.m.
