Women's Basketball to Host UMD in NSIC Opener

St. Cloud, Minn. -- The St. Cloud State University women's basketball team will kick off action in the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC) Saturday, Nov. 30 at 2 p.m. in Halenbeck Hall. The Huskies will take on the University of Minnesota Duluth.
St. Cloud State enters the match-up with a 4-0 overall record. The Huskies are coming off an 88-63 victory over Dakota State University (Nov. 26). Senior guard Sam Price (Eau Claire, Wis.) led the way, draining six of seven shots from behind the arc to finish with a game-high 25 points.Â
The Huskies lead UMD 32-25 in the All-Time Series Record. The two teams last met on Jan. 15, 2013 when SCSU fell by seven to the Bulldogs (50-57).Â
Minnesota Duluth enters the match-up with a 3-1 overall record. The Bulldogs are coming off an 84-80 victory over No. 22 Michigan Tech. UMD senior forward Hannah Rutten was named this week's NSIC Player of the Week for her 24 point, 16 rebound peformance in the Bulldog's victory.Â
