
St. Cloud State women's basketball defeats Jamestown, 70-62

St. Cloud, Minn. – The St. Cloud State women's basketball team hosted Jamestown this afternoon at Halenbeck Hall. The Huskies defeated the Jimmies, 70-62.
St. Cloud State led the Jimmies at the half 32-30. The Huskies shot 45.7% from the field in the second half, and 75% from the free throw line.
Jamestown finished the game shooting 48.1% from the field and 43.8% from the three-point range.
St. Cloud State improves to 3-0 overall. Jamestown stands at 4-4 on the season.
Junior forward Lexy Petermann (Fond du Lac, Wis.) recorded her first double-double of the season putting up 11 points and 10 rebounds.
Senior guard Carley Jeffery (Cambridge, Wis.) sealed the deal for the Huskies making two 3's at the end of the second half.
Sophomore guard Chelsea Nooker (Green Bay, Wis.) recorded a team-high five steals and finished with ten points.
Jamestown's Jessica Buck led all players with 24 points.
The Huskies forced 26 turnovers on the Jimmies compared to St. Cloud State's 9.
