Women's Basketball hosts St. Thomas in Exhibition

St. Cloud, Minn. – The St. Cloud State women's basketball team will open the season at home with an exhibition game against the University of St. Thomas on Saturday, Nov. 8 at 2 p.m. in Halenbeck Hall. There will be free admission for all spectators for Saturday's game.
The Huskies are coming off a 16-11 record in 2013-14 and will regain three starters. Among the returning starters are senior guard Carley Jeffery (Cambridge, Wis.), junior forward Emma Konopasek (De Pere, Wis.), and junior forward Karissa LeCaptain (Algoma, Wis.).
The University of St. Thomas women won the MIAC playoff championship for the fourth time in five seasons by defeating St. Mary's last season. The Tommies ended the season 25-5 overall and closed out at No. 18 in the final Division III poll.
