SCSU Women's Basketballs Falls to Minot State

Minot, ND – The St. Cloud State women's basketball team traveled to Minot, ND this evening in a Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC) match-up. The Huskies fell to the Minot State Beavers with a final score of 81-64.
St. Cloud State falls to 11-7 overall and 7-7 in the NISC. Minot State improves to 9-11 overall and 4-10 in the conference.
Carley Jeffery (Cambridge, Wis.) had a team-high 11 points for the Huskies. Jeffery made three of eight from the three-point range.
Chelsea Nooker (Green Bay, Wis.) finished with 9 points, four blocks and three rebounds. Nooker led the team in assists with three.
Eva Lampert (Laporte, Minn.) and Amanda Christianson (Alexandria, Minn.) both finished with 8 points for St. Cloud State.
Alex Haley led all players scoring 18 points for the Beavers.
St. Cloud State shot 32.8% from the field compared to Minot State's 50.9%. The Huskies out rebounded the Beavers 43-36 but committed 21 turnovers compared to the Beavers 17. The Huskies shot 28.0% from behind the arc while the Beavers shot 44.4%.
St. Cloud State will return to action next weekend as they travel to Marshall, Minn. and Sioux Falls, SD. The Huskies will take on Southwest Minn. State on Jan. 30 and the University of Sioux Falls on Jan. 31.
