SCSU Women's Basketball Tops Bemidji State, 64-38

St. Cloud, Minn. – The St. Cloud State University women's basketball team hosted Bemidji State University in Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC) action this evening in Halenbeck Hall. The Huskies topped the Beavers 64-38 in final scoring.
With the win St. Cloud State improves to 2-3 overall and 2-0 in the NSIC. Bemidji State falls to 4-2 overall and 0-2 in the conference.
The Huskies shot 44.6% from the field this evening. They forced the Beavers into 12 turnovers, resulting in 12 points.
Two St. Cloud State players recorded a double-double this evening. Senior forward Karissa LeCaptain (Algoma, Wis.) led the Huskies with 14 points and 12 rebounds.
Junior guard Chelsea Nooker (Green Bay, Wis.) finished with 10 points and 11 rebounds. Nooker led SCSU with three steals and four blocks.
Senior forward Lexy Petermann (Fond du Lac, Wis.) finished with 14 points. Petermann made six of nine from the field.
Sierra Senske led the Beavers with 13 points and 9 rebounds.
St. Cloud State will return to action tomorrow afternoon as they take on Minnesota-Crookston in Halenbeck Hall at 4 p.m. The Golden Eagles are currently 4-2 overall and 1-1 in the NSIC. Crookston is coming off a loss against the University of Minnesota-Duluth (71-65).
