Schmidt and Yalartai to compete at NCAA Indoor Track & Field Championships

St. Cloud, Minn. --Â St. Cloud State will be represented by two standout women's track and field athletes at the 2015 NCAA Division II Indoor Track and Field Championships, March 13-14 in at the CrossPlex in Birmingham, Alabama.
Senior Becky Schmidt (White Bear Lake, Minn.) and sophomore Patience Yalartai (Bloomington, Minn.) have qualified and will compete at the national championships. Â
Schmidt will compete in the long jump on Friday, March 13 at 2 p.m. At the NSIC Indoor Championships on Feb. 26 and 27, Schmidt captured second place in the long jump and had a pair of sixth place finsihes in the 60 meters and 200 meters.
Yalartai is also a decorated competitor as she has competed all season in multiple events in the pentathlon. She will take flight with Schmidt in the long jump and will also compete on Saturday, March 14th in the triple jump event. Most recenlty Yalartai placed third in both the triple jump and long jump at the NSIC Indoor Championships
